Blue Door, 2021
Oil on board
15 x 11cm
This painting is based on a blue door I was looking at while at work earlier this year. The door would open at irregular intervals, with furniture and other contents sprawled out onto the narrow city sidewalk. Scheduled for construction, I don’t know if the building is there anymore. Or why I was standing outside a blue door. Now in our sixth lockdown, it seems strange to remanence on a city searching for normalcy.
