Warmies is a documentative photographic series detailing where the Birrarung (Yarra) River meets the ocean at Hobsons Bay. Local community coined the name Warmies as the Melbourne Power Station uses water from the Yarra river to cool it’s engines, pumping warmed water back into the river. This higher temperature attracts warmer climate fish to migrate here and creates a surreal and constructed inner city fishing spot.
