Untitled, 2021
Recycled fabric, plaster casting of a finger, golden foil
19.5 x 25 x 0.9cm
Untitled is made in response to the artist’s ongoing exploration about the representational matter of Asian women. By reconstructing a Cheongsam – a traditional Chinese woman dress, the artist uses a sartorial language to examine the position of Asian woman in the contemporary capitalist society and the Western social power structure.
